Richard Guha
Richard has over thirty years of experience in leading Fortune 500 companies as a general management and marketing executive, and as a board member. He is the Chairman Emeritus of the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG), the world’s largest group of senior marketing executives, and is an active in many other groups.
He started his career in marketing at Procter & Gamble, later becoming a Division Head at Mars, Inc, Chief Marketing Officer at US West and BMC Software, and President of Reliant Energy. He was also a partner in two respected consulting firms, where he advised top management of Global 2000 companies. He has been on the Board of eight successful companies, including four start-ups, and on the Board of several major non-profits. In these roles he has grown the market value of three public companies several fold and been a driver behind three successful exits for Start-ups in several industries.
In his career across consumer packaged goods (CPG), communications and high-tech, he created new paradigms which have changed the market structure and built substantial revenue and profit growth. Richard has been actively involved in over 30 acquisitions and 10 ten turnarounds. Richard graduated from Cambridge University with Bachelors and Masters degrees.
