Ram is a recognized expert on midmarket companies. As a consultant to mid-sized and large enterprises in 16 countries, Ram has developed a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the midmarket. Through extensive discussions with midmarket executives, Ram conceived the Midmarket Institute as a source of research, tools, community, advocacy and marketplace specifically addressing the unique needs of midmarket companies. A prolific writer, Ram has been published in top trade journals and has been featured in Money Magazine, Fortune and CFO Magazine. Ram is currently writing a book about how midmarket companies can survive and thrive in a recession. A former venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and executive at companies such as Boeing and Lucent, Ram is a speaker sought by conference organizers, associations and universities in the US and in Asia. Ram holds graduate degrees from the University of New Hampshire and the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is the former president of the MIT Club of Princeton and currently serves on its board and the MIT South Asian Alumni Association.
